Efo's cd's are distributed by Red Eye Distribution based here in Atlanta...Some of the Bands I represent also are Distributed by them i.e. Wild West Picture show, Amanda Jones, Hanging Francis etc. most of there retail out-lets are: Tower Records, Wherehouse Music Fka as Blockbuster Music, and some Best Buys *also Criminal Records in Atlanta carries the whole efo catalog!... Amazon.com usually lists one copy for stock purposes of every band it sells cd's for...Price points the band usually receives around $8 to 10 bucks for each cd they sell this way.. the rest goes to the distributor. So technically it's better to buy from the band *+we want to keep mike busy!!! so they get a larger portion of the sale...but you are right about how things are charted sales wise if you want EFO to get credit for the sale on R&R or Billboard you should buy from a major retailer. But charting like on CMJ is made up of more than sales..it includes radio airplay too!! so it can't hurt to get your college radio stations to play the new CD as well! pheewww that's done *sorry this is so long an e-mail especially to that guy at Trw.. :) Bye for now. But ask I will. The first time I saw EFO, or was even introduced to folk music, was at FRFF this year. Needless to say, I fell in love. Anyway, when I was there, I of course watched Moxy Fruvous play, and thought they were okay, but not too incredible. But then they came here in Rochester, NY where I live, and a friend and I saw them (second row seats, standing room only, ugh!) and they were incredible! I don't really think they put on a better show or anything, but just that close it was amazing. So, onto my question, is it like that with EFO? B/c they were (cannot even find a word to put here) at FRFF, and I've not seen them live, anyplace else. I was just wondering . . . :) nichole *********************************** chickclick.com http://www.chickclick.com girl sites that don't fake it. http://www.chickmail.com sign up for your free email. http://www.chickshops.com boutique shopping from chickclick.com *********************************** ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 12 Sep 2000 20:21:48 -0400 From: "greg wells" Subject: Cruising! Hey everyone, your right this is the most activity I've seen on this list for a long time, I promise not to ask to be unsubscribe.....but I will post a MEANINGFUL message! This is Greg, Julie's husband, we were talking the other day about the cruise and I was wondering if anyone on this list is going? Why you might ask? well, last year Julie and I got our certification for scuba diving, and since we will have Liam with us...(don't think he qualifies just yet!) I have lost my dive partner. So if anyone who is going and also is certified for scuba diving and is interested in going on a dive let me know! And naturally if there is a bunch of us perhaps we can arrange for a group dive while we are in the Bahamas, oh sounds like FUN! Hope to hear from some of you, now back to my lurking position! ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 12 Sep 2000 20:38:39 -0400 (EDT) From: Sarah E Robeson Subject: web page? hey guys- since everybody's listening, am I the only one who gets a "cannot find serer" error when I try to go to efohio.com?
