I'm from Iowa and since EFO only finds their way here once in a lunar eclipse, I have to content myself with CD's and the snippets of melody which haunt my subconscious (and which I also find myself singing in the shower). You provided wonderful visual and auditory details. Thanks! Andy's eloquent review makes me wish I only could have been there, but feel like I was. Andrea, we are all in your boat now. No live EFO for a long time. However, we have much to look forward to when they return. There should be new songs & everyone will have a nice rest. Until then, let's all see what we can do to share the best. There must be plenty of live shows to swap. There is even Seth's recent post about uploading your favorite piece as MP3s to his ftp site. As soon as I can get my CD-ROM working, I'll have that B'ham show from this summer on CD. My friend and I were front right and loved the whole show. I'd be willing to bet that I've seen EFO at least three dozen times and this show stands out as one of the best. We drove from Charlottesville to Vienna and turned around and drove back to catch the show at the last minute - all told we spent as much time on the road as we did inside the barn and it was worth every minute. Great synopsis of the show! Can't wait for the next full on EFO gig and hope to see a ton of edheads there!
