Also, Mike always wears a St. Chris medallion (patron saint of travelers) so it would be easy to assume that he (as well as Julie) is Catholic. That leaves Eddie. :> In No Left Turns in Jersey there is an acronym - "IPDE, every time you drive". What is IPDE? (I'll admit that after 13 accidents my driving record/ knowledge is scattered at best). Happy Holidays e'ryone! -Jess -----Original Message----- From: Seth D. At a recent show in MA (I wasn't lucky enough to be there but have had this info passed to me by a non-edhead) the band admitted to having "2 Catholics, a Jew, and an astronomer." We know Robbie is Jewish (btw Happy Chanukah to Robbie and all other fellow jews out there in edhead land) but I am not sure about the other three (although Julie with an Irish maiden name of Murphy has GOT to be Catholic). My main interest though is the reference to the astronomer. Is it solely a reference to someone who doesn't claim any organized religion (like astronomers are often blamed for) or a reference to a band member that actually takes a liking to the celestial sphere? If we assume the latter then that leads me to think of songs the band does that reference astronomy. I can only think of two: "Moons of Jupiter" and (a bit of a stretch) "Gravity." Mike wrote the first one and Robbie wrote the second. But we have already identified Robbie as the Jew in the statement so that leaves Mike as the astronomer. Yet he has only written one song on astronomy... Are there any other EFO songs that reference astronomy? Of course, it is possible that I am catching the quote all out of context and making a big deal about nothing!! And lets Oof. I feel ok picking 10 CDs I really like, but my 10 favorites from the '90's? 10 years ago I was twelve years old [1] and listening mostly to classical music because that's what my parents listened to. [2] Even now I have a decent-sized but by no means enormous (think medium double digits) CD collection. I don't want to anoint these "My 10 Favorites Of The Decade" because I haven't been seriously listening to music that long. So this is "10 CDs made during the '90's that I really like", instead. They Might Be Giants--Apollo 18 (I'm tempted to cheat and pick _Then: The Earlier Years_, but I won't.) Moxy Fruvous--Wood Due South soundtrack vol. 1 Crash Test Dummies--The Ghosts That Haunt Me Ben Folds Five--self-titled Barenaked Ladies--Gordon Nields--Play Great Big Sea--Play Gaelic Storm--self-titled The '92 Broadway revival of Guys And Dolls. Sometimes you just *need* show tunes, man, and they had a really butt-kicking cast for this one. > Who is it on this list who signs their emails with this? > "When your dream comes true you're out one dream" > -The Nields Me, ocassionally.
