That is, I got permission from the *band* (EFO, not mine) to send this. At least I ran it through my spell-chucker, Paul from DVN. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 1 Dec 1999 14:24:47 -0800 From: Jessica Brown Subject: FW: Harmonica solo Whoops. - -----Original Message----- From: Jessica Brown Sent: Wednesday, December 01, 1999 1:54 PM To: 'edheads@efohio..com' Subject: Harmonica solo Hey y'all, I was listening to a tape of the sixth to last Bad Habits show (the one where Robbie had no voice and was Darth Vadar) and the band does a cover of But Anyways by Blues Traveler. Nothing exciting about that, say you, they started off as a cover band. But the song ends with Mike doing this amazing harmonica solo. They've never done anything like that out west and I was wondering if this kind of thing has happens out east. On another note, something that they didn't do when they were out here was the "eddie banging on robbie's guitar" thing. I saw them do this at falcon ridge this summer and it was really cool. Have they laid off doing this? - -Jessica ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 1 Dec 1999 15:38:27 -0800 (PST) From: Nicole Carlson Subject: EFO: Slightly off-topic plug + Mike's harmonica On Wed, Dec 01, 1999 at 01:09:53AM -0500, Paul Sabourin wrote: > [Apologies for the plug; I made sure to get permission from the [band] >to send this. > Again, my apologies for the crass commercial nature of this email. But seriously, people--if their new album is as good as their last one, it well deserves space in your CD collection. That is all. Re: Harmonica solo For starters, I don't think they've played "But Anyways" on the West Coast at all--the first time I heard it was at Falcon Ridge. Also, Mike has been sick for part or most of every California tour except this last one. Maybe he doesn't feel like playing harmonica when he's sick? - --nicole twn *** "Circumstances eat themselves. I'm wondering if Mike ever does long harmonica solos in general. I mean, he rocks on the harmonica. There are so many great opportunities for him to shine in this arena, on their material. Has anyone ever seen him do this? (Besides the train song, where he usually do a little harmonica solo) - -Jess -----Original Message----- From: Nicole Carlson [mailto:nmcarlson@ucdavis.edu] Sent: Wednesday, December 01, 1999 3:38 PM To: edheads@efohio.com Subject: EFO: Slightly off-topic plug + Mike's harmonica On Wed, Dec 01, 1999 at 01:09:53AM -0500, Paul Sabourin wrote: > [Apologies for the plug; I made sure to get permission from the [band] >to send this. > Again, my apologies for the crass commercial nature of this email.
