The one of that title, obviously, as well as "I don't think I know me," which contains the line "yesterday, Independence Day." This summer, at Club Passim, in Cambridge, MA, I brought a first timer to the show, and we were right in front. Towards the end of the night, Robbie jumped off the stage and sat in my friends lap for a bit while continuing to play. Apparently, it works for him, since he also did it in Berkeley. Fruvous and EFO--both quartets--each have one bald guitarist and one guy named Mike, and each Mike has four letters in his last name. Both bands are composed of people from a region near both their state/province's capital city AND their country's capital city, although each band has one member who spent part of his childhood abroad. In both cases, the band was formed--in the early '90's--by people who'd known each other since high school or before. The implication is clear--EFO and Moxy Fruvous are actually the same band. That they are able to play concerts in different cities on the same night means... uh, I dunno, probably that they're aliens or something. - --nicole twn who really should be programming *** "Malcolm solves his problems with a chainsaw, and he never has the same problem twice!"--the Arrogant Worms Visit Nicolopolis! http://wwwcsif.cs.ucdavis.edu/~carlsonn nmcarlson@ucdavis.edu ana.ng@tmbg.org carlsonn@seclab.cs.ucdavis.edu ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 18 Nov 1999 07:10:37 PST From: "Scott Levitt" Subject: EFO CDRs Wanted Looking for EFO CDRs. Continue straight through intersection - you will jog right a little bit. Once you pass the Juanita Beach Park on your left - begin looking for a Dead End sign on left side of road, there will also be a Juanita Ln sign Turn Left there - watch this turn it is a pretty steep drop off - but if you stay left you should be Ok Left into first driveway. I live in the basement of the house - to get to my front door - walk around the left side of the house and follow the brick walk to the front door. Some of you can stay upstairs and some can stay downstairs. We can work that all out.
