I saw EFO in Asheville, NC on thursday night and in Winston-Salem, NC on Saturday night. Was anybody else there? They were both WONDERFUL shows. The Asheville show was sit down, which was unfortunate because I'd much rather stand. At one point Mike had Julie laughing so hard that I thought that they would NEVER get through "good at that." Robbie and Mike managed to save it though, and help Julie finish. I was wearing my Nields shirt that says "best black t shirt" and before the show robbie walked by and said something like, "The NIELDS!" If the Asheville show was great, the winston-salem show was WONDERFULRIFIC. Before the show we went to ask julie something and my friend said, "we were..." and julie cut her off with, "At the Ziggy's By The Sea show! YEAH! You had on Nields shirts!" (I was wearing my _play_ shirt at that one, and my friend was wearing the "best black t shirt" shirt). It was a stand up show in an area that has WAY more EFO fans than Asheville. The audience was really into it and so was EFO. Robbie broke TWO strings during the show. Both times the rest had to save the day by playing something not on the set list while robbie restrung and retuned. I don't know the name of what they played the first time. The second time they did "Doin' time under the lifegaurd stand" which was really great for me, i'd always wanted to hear that live! I did get to talk to them for a while after this show. Julie asked me if I'd been at the asheville show. I said yes. She said that's what robbie told her, but that she was trying to convince robbie he was wrong, that i was really at the ziggy's by the sea show. Both of them were right. Then we got a few pictures with them all. It was lots of fun. If anybody was at the asheville show I was wearing my nields shirt and sitting in the chairs that were at the table in the front of the room. At the winston-salem show I was wearing my "i think i put my shirt on backwards" dar williams shirt, and standing right in front. Now my request! Did ANYBODY tape the Winston-Salem show? If so, can I PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE have a copy? I'll send postage if you want me to! But I REALLY want a copy of this show! It was so good! Tape is great CD is even better! please let me know if you do!!! Thanks! - -rhiannon ----- "Don't touch the folk singers!"
