So what was the story? Share share! :) Re: Wizard of Oz http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a1_392.html contains a detailed explanation of the Wizard of Oz/Populist revolution connection. Once again Cecil Adams saves the day. :) As long as we're on "Loitering In The Lobby" *is* there actually an area called "Virgilina"? The south Virginia/north North Carolina region, perhaps? Do people refer to it as such? - --nicole twn who didn't see the Wizard of Oz stuff until Buddy pointed it out... Virgilina is actually a town right on the North Carolina/Virginia border, although officially it is in Virginia. I know this because I grew up less than 50 miles from there :-). Of course, I've never actually been there, but I do know where it is. Well as the subject line says, this is my first post to the edheads list. I'm a new fan. I've been hearing good things about EFO for a good year now and they recently played in Carrboro, NC so I went to see them. I was completely blown away. "Looking Out The Fishbowl" has been playing non-stop ever since. I'm just wanting for my raise to kick in so I can buy all the other CDs. I'll be seeing them at Falcon Ridge in a few weeks and I'm very excited about seeing them again so soon. Here's a shot in the dark...When I was in graduate school at NCSU, I lived in a house on Chamberlain Street. A couple of houses shared a parking lot in the back. There was a SUV of some sort with an EFO bumper sticker. This was 1994-1996 so obviously this is a long time fan. I always noticed the sticker because I had gone to college from Ohio and had just assumed it was a band from Ohio. Any chance that person is on this list? How many people can say they first heard of EFO from a bumper sticker :-) Okay, back to work for me!
