Legend has it that three sisters drowned near the islands in the middle of the Potomac River, just upstream from Key Bridge. The book said that you can experience their screams today if you row your boat between the rock outcroppings that make up the island trio. Have any edheads ever tried rowing between the islands? Well, I know that Mike also used some artistic license in expanding his storyline to make the lyrics jive. So, even though Halifax County is a long way away, it sounds better that Fairfax. I applaud Paul for picking up on the little known fact about Halifax's proximity to the Three Sister's Islands. I look forward to seeing more Edheads at the TRAX shows, and at their first show at the Lime Kiln Theater. I saw The Seldom Scene there last year, and I thought it was a beautiful outdoor setting to see a show, and it is much smaller than Wolf Trap, so get your tickets soon.
