I have the masters from the last bad habits show but I having a little bit of a problem, when I record the CD it puts a 2 second gap between tracks, which for a live CD is bad. I have access to a HIVAL CDR and an HP surewriter. I have only tried with the HIval. Can any one suggest some software or config changes I can make to remove the 2 second gap. What software/CDwriters do people use that allows you to record live CDS with out track gaps. Sorry to have to post this to the list Thanks Ian ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 27 Apr 1999 12:52:31 -0400 (EDT) From: Kevin Jones Subject: Re: Edheads: CDR help Hi Ian and other Edheads who may have the same problem... >I am looking for some advice since i know some of you must knwo this. This problem/feature results from using track-at-once recording instead of disc-at-once (DAO) recording. Turning the laser on and off between tracks results in the 2-second gap. DAO keeps the laser on the whole time and eliminates the gaps. There's an option in every CD writing program I've used that lets you switch between TAO and DAO--you might want to look around and see if you find such an option. Hey guys, I posted a month ago looking for a tape of the 2/5/99 EFO show at TRAX in Charlottesville, VA. I talked to one of the tapers that night, but he said he was not Internet-equipped. If any of you has a copy of that show or can get me in touch with Nathan Lang, please let me know! If you have the tape and want to trade, check out my page at: http://www.people.virginia.edu/~ghl5z/tapelist.html thanks, Greg .......................... I've been using it for a few years, and it's worked great for me. - ---Jeff--- Ian Macdonald wrote: > I am looking for some advice since i know some of you must knwo this. Hi. I have two tickets to Friday's EFO show at the Birchmere in Alexandria, VA. Due to a conflict, I am desperately trying to trade for two tickets to Saturday night's show. If anyone is willing to trade, please e-mail me privately at mtownsend@washington.com. My ability to see my first EFO show since the last show at Bad Habits hinges on your kindness! Many thanks. mike ------------------------------ End of edheads-digest V2 #76 ****************************
