Goody.  The web page (I accidentally typed it "figs.html" when I was
checking it earlier today... hmmm...) says that the Palookaville show has
EFO on a double bill (with The Paperboys (anyone heard of them? Are
they good?)). Does anyone know who is going on first??? *Please* let me
know; I need to decide whether or not to skip class. (I also need to
decide whether I would rather go see EFO or study for a circuits midterm,
but that's another story for another day.) 
On another note: Everyone come to the Davis show!  If you're going to the
Berkeley show, well, Davis is only about an hour away from Berkeley!
Come and sample the joys of small-town agricultural life in remarkably
flat Yolo County! (Allow about an hour for this. :)  Behold the infamous
Toad Tunnel, as seen on the Comedy Channel! <temptingly>We have a
microbrewery...</temptingly> Let us repeat: We WILL fill up The Palms. We
WILL fill up The Palms.  Detailed directions to the elusive place
available on request.
(I may actually be there; academic commitments are making my planned trip
to Toronto for FruCon II less and less likely (read: FruBliss = academic
suicide >:< ))

	The Berkeley Show?  A show for me?  Really?  A dream come true!!!
I know, I know.  My town in CA will just have to host them without me. 
(Of course it is my town, it has my name on it).
	Hope all you Californians enjoy your "6 months fix".  Don't whine tho. 
I usually only get to see the band annually.  And that comes with a 4-5
hour drive minimum.  I am still trying to break them into the LA market
(the real LA -- Lower Alabama).
	Nicole, try studying ahead of time and going to the show. If you need to
review, then go home right after the show!  Good Luck! (I am in Final
Exams now and can relate).

Celtic blugrass stompin pop they describe themselves as. From western Canada.
They sound fun. Have never seen them live. Mike has and says they are awesome.

I would like to stipulate that there is nothing wrong with acedemic
suicide. That philo class that I did not take the midterm in last year ...
there is a midterm I'll have to miss this year, too ... well, that is the
joy of make-ups. (And he's lenient, so it's all good.) 

Nicole - I command you to go to Toronto. And study now for your midterm.
You can always study on the plane. 

For y'all who may be contemplating the Palms show ... I'll be there. If
you don't feel like risking the wilds of Yolo county driving (AH! Was that
a cow on the freeway???!!! j/k) There's a train from San Jose, Oakland,
and Berkeley. 

I'm wondering if anyone knows who is performing first at the Santa Cruz
show. If EFO goes later, then I might ( If I speed from my last class in
Irvine) be able to catch the show.

Love 'em!!  Seem 'em twice.  And they're the nicest people, believe me;
they're a perfect match with EFO.  (Like other Edheads on the list, I
encountered both EFO and the Paperboys through seeing Moxy Fruvous; seems
to be a commonality of tastes.)  They're a great fusion of celtic and
rock-pop, covering things from Spirit of the West's "Political" to
traditional reels to "All Along the Watchtower," plus lots of their
original works.  The flautist is *amazing*, especially with this gorgeous
black wood flute.  

If you go, I highly recommend picking up _Molinos_, their latest album.  I
don't have their first, which sold very well in Canada but which isn't said
to be as much like their live work.
