Someone please tell me how I can get a copy of this show, please. I would prefer CD, but will take what I can get. Not Fade Away (Buddy Holly) Charlie Brown (Coasters) If I Had a Boat (Lovette) Little Drummer Boy (Harrry Simone [pronounced She-moan]) The Lion Sleeps Tonight (Tokens) Operator (Manhatten Transfer) Over the Hills and Far Away/Going to California (LZ) I haven't heard this one, but if it is the same "Going To California" that I know, then a cut was made of it by Bud & Travis in about 1961. Thanks All & Happy Holidays! Berkeley (THE Mobile Fan) PS, did anyone videotape the show for visual posterity? ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. Well in truth, this was written by LEd Zeppelin. I am assuming that it was a medley(?). Over the Hills and Far Away was from the Houses of the Holy Album. Going to California Was from ZOSO. And they were written by the band. Just had to get that in. Rich ****************************************************** Richard M. As soon as the master is done (so we know it's for real) I'll announce a CD Tree signup. The tree will make it possible for anyone to get a copy, and if they have CD burning equipment to distribute copies to those who can't make copies. PLEASE don't send me email asking for a copy, or volunteering to make clones, just yet. When I announce the tree, you'll get the chance! Please stay tuned, and be patient. We're well on our way towards having a primo-quality CD ready to distribute. - ---Jeff--- ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 18 Dec 1998 23:13:41 EST From: EFOcrew@aol.com Subject: Re: EFO: Updated setlist The credit given for "Not Fade Away" on Portable is (by Hardin & Petty, MPL Communications/Wren Music/BMI) A note to Everyone: When responding to a post on the list, please respond to EITHER the sender of the message OR to the list. If someone posted something, it means they are on the list and will receive the post if you send it to the list. If you respond to BOTH the sender AND the list, the original poster will get two copies. With all of the traffic recently, I have gotten doubles of so many things, and my mailbox looks so imposing when I get my mail. Please, Please, try to remember this. Thanks! : ) To Mark, Sorry I'm using you as an example, but I am sending this to you and the list so you know what I mean. It just gets a little time consuming to open up extra copies because I have a slow computer. Thanks for helping give credit to the songwriter instead of the Grateful Dead, we all know they don't need any extra credit! : ) CB In a message dated 98-12-18 01:57:19 EST, you write: << one last EXTREMELY picky note on the setlist... the dead did what's prolly the most well-known version of not fade away, but it wasn't the original. i know buddy holly and the crickets did one of the first, but i don't think it was their song, either. i believe the liner notes to "Portable" give credit to the songwriters, whoever they may be. mike >> ------------------------------ End of edheads-digest V1 #122 *****************************
