Thanks Scott Sciarrino http://www.sciarrino.com/bands/index.htm ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 09 Dec 1998 09:56:36 EST From: "T Bone" Subject: EdHeads: Breaking Bad Habits Read the article this morning in Washington Post about EFO's upcoming final date at Bad Habits -- good read; the final gig sounds like a show NOT to be missed. However, for those of us who will be missing it, is there anyone who is planning on attending, and taping the show, who'd be willing to help out those of us who are not as fortunate (as to be able to attend)? I can't offer up any tapes to trade in return, but if someone wants offer up their services, I'm sure that we can come up with something for a trade-off. How about a six pack of tasty home-brewed beer? I live near Chicago, IL so distance will not allow me to attend. I do not have any tapes to trade (yet :-)) I would need to come up with something else as well..... I make great homemade turtles and pretzle rods (chocolate and penutbutter, carmel, nuts, etc..). >>> "T Bone" 12/09 8:56 AM >>> ....snip............. There are many of us who are not in the immediate area who'd like to share the magic. I'd be willing to transcribe a copy of the tape (preferrably VHS HIFI) to CD and help with distribution... assuming we get the bands OK that is... and to upload it to the EFO Online Music Archives FTP site. So, is anyone planning on taping the show on VHS HIFI? If so, please contact me! - ---Jeff--- ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 9 Dec 1998 19:12:41 EST From: EFOcrew@aol.com Subject: Re: last bad habits show Seth and other tapers planning on taping the last BH show, We had a record number of tapers last night at BH => 8! We'll be setting up Eddie's conga case for the tapers. We'll have plenty of AC for all, but unless someone has a nice distribution system for the audio signal, we will have to go in series through other people's machines. We will have three seperate lines out of the board, so three people will be "first" in line for the feeds. Hopefully, we can work out that all cassette tapers are on the same feed so that tape flips will not mess up anybody taping via VCR, DAT, or MiniDisc. We'll also have a line for DAT's, and a line for MiniDiscs. The VCR tapers will not have any tape changes, so will be first in line. Bring a cable with RCA plugs on one end and whatever matches your input on the other end (RCA (full sized components) or 1/8" plug (portables) are the most common). If you have a portable recorder with only 1/8" plugs, please also bring a 1/8" => 1/8" cable so you can come out of another portable if you have to. We've been seeing a lot of portable recorders lately. If any of you have any extra cables or adaptors, label them as yours and bring them in case someone else does not have the correct cables. It would make someone's night if they had the wrong cables or adaptors but some other considerate taper thought to bring some spares. Remember to come early to set up as there's been a line lately to get in. Hope everyone has a nice week! CB ------------------------------ End of edheads-digest V1 #110 *****************************
