I've only heard them do it once, and Mike did a fantastic job blowing the harmonica, (granted, he's no Brother John...but he came as close I believe I've ever heard). I've only heard them perform it once, and it was in NYC...I assumed it to be some sort of "nod" to BT being from the city. Mike...bring on more of that harmonica. It has always been one of my favorite songs on their albums and now that I have heard it live it is even more impressive. Absolutely unbelievable... So, now I am left to wonder why they don't play it live more often? Is it out of respect to Michael Lille that they won't play it without him? Or is it really impossible to play it without a fifth person? (Although I find it hard to believe that with the awesome guitar talent of both Robbie and Mike they are unable to come up with a four person version of the song...) Can anyone enlighten me? The file is a little over 4MB, and can be found at http://lovelady.piedmont.net/EFO/ Soon, a real webpage will be there, complete with pictures etc. But I wanted to make this available ASAP - it is a must see, in my book. However, the band wasn't able to play my requests. After the show Julie came up and told me basically Michael Lille is Mimosas in Missouri, and they have only played the song when he is with the band. Julie also told me that a few weeks ago, when efo played at the Handlebar in SC with Michael Lille, the band revived the song and played an extended version of it on both nights. This happens to be one of my favorite songs also, so if anyone has a tape of that show, I'd love to get a copy of it. - -Matthew - -----Original Message----- From: Seth Hornstein To: edheads@efohio.com Date: Thursday, October 15, 1998 12:27 PM Subject: Mimosas in Missouri >After listening to the live version of Mimosas I am puzzled by why they >don't play this song more often.
