However, the poll that COUNTS is the one for the Selection Cmte. for the State Song, not the newspaper in Roanoke. Tell the CMTE to select "Old Dominion" and it might happen! They need to hear your voice (but only once on that one, folks). People going to the Ben Lomond show from San Jose: do NOT take Hwy. 17 southbound at rush hour (3 pm ~ 7 pm). I can't give any further advice except that you should budget plenty of time to get there--at least a half hour to get over the hill from Los Gatos (last town before the mountains, and coincidentally my hometown.) See everyone there... wish me luck getting in... - --nicole twn who just found out that Moxy Fruvous's first CA show in... what, four years? six? will also be 21+. :( ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 18 Aug 1998 20:24:11 -0400 (EDT) From: Kevin Jones Subject: EDHEADS: Founders Fest, Park City UT Hey all-- Just a quick note let y'all know that EFO were quite well received at the Founders Folk & Bluegrass Fest in Park City Utah this past weekend. They did a blistering set closing with Know You Rider and did the national anthem as an encore. Amusing to notice the altitude getting to them, as well as several of the other performers... After some of the more energetic numbers, lots of the folks were getting pretty winded! Anyway, no set list or formal review here, just 2 more notes: several folks I ran into had never heard EFO but had heard OF them from word of mouth from East Coast friends. Awesome. And these people were all quite impressed. And... Name recognition seems to be a bit of a problem with a couple Utahns--overheard a group of folks at the Founders Fest talking about how great that band was, you know, Eddie From Idaho. :) Cheers y'all, Kev - -- Kevin B.
