However, after extensive searches, I haven't been able to locate a thing on the Internet. Do any of you know the history, or have a source? Hi 'vryone, me again (less than two weeks before they hit CA like a ton of bricks! Whooo!) I was bored at lunch yesterday and decided to poke around on the ol' WWW. After I cast my vote for "The Old Dominion" (darn fine song!), I went to check out amazon.com's new music section and found that they carry all five EFO cds! (Big Noise and Portable EFO Show on regular order, the rest on special order.) At this point, two things occurred to me: 1) EFO CDs are still difficult to find in many parts of the country (like here, for instance...) and so I hail this development as a Good Thing; and 2) amazon.com lets people post reviews of cds. *insert sly grin* So, friends, what do you say? Shall we all go stuff the ballot box, so to speak? :) The URL: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/generic-quicksearch-query/002-7149974-9273630 - --nicole the wonder nerd and amateur reviewer p.s. I was listening to "Smoke" yesterday and thinking... hey, that's Mike singing lead! (Either that or Robbie being a ham... but I think it sounds like Mike.) And I was thinking... How many songs does Mike sing lead on? I can't think of another. Anyone want to help me out here? And why doesn't Eddie sing more? He seems to have a fine voice, on those rare occasions when he opens his mouth onstage... ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 13 Aug 1998 11:59:29 -0400 From: Bryan Thompson Subject: Re: Edhead: Attention all would-be reviewers... > p.s. When he sings, we both agree, that he has an excellent voice. But the only other song that we could come up with that he "sings" on is "Doin' Time Under The Lifeguard Stand" ( on which he doesn't really sing, he does that spoken kinda thing that he does on "Smoke" ). If anyone knows other ones he leads on, I'd love to know. Otherwise, anyone know why he just "storytells" through the two songs he fronts? Mike actually sings lead on "Hojo's on Wakegan" and "Moons of Jupiter", and sings lead w/ Robbie on "Rollin' Pin". I agree that he should sing more... in fact I think his voice is probably the most under-rated part of the band. But that just my opinion - I could be wrong.
