i bet you wonder what i want from you
i just want to be your best childhood friend
and to exchange little folded papers with secrets and giggles
i want to hold hands and run through rain puddles
then fall into snow-angeled time
i want the seasons to roll backward
where we'd whisper into each other's ears
and never be apart
i want to have known you my entire life
but most of all
i want to know why i crave to hold you
cradle you in my arms 
until your tears soak deep into my soul
i want to bleed our hearts' sorrows into an old rusty pail
and throw it into the ocean
to blend and drift and die
i want the current never to end
