I was hoping some list members might tell me which version they like better and why. The first one is obviously more structured and in depth, but it reads a little rough. The second says only the main thought and leaves the rest up to the imagination. Anyway, let me know what you think. By the way, this isn't meant to sound at all threatening. More so desperate and violently emotional, not violent. If you could, let me know what impression it leaves you with. If it's scary or something I don't want it to be, but it would be good to know. (Inspired by Lori Carson's "Head in a Box." For those of you who liked Jewel's early stuff and miss the personal honesty, I highly recommend all of Lori's stuff.) If words could truly cut like a knife Id write you a poem To cripple my arms That long only to hold you To pierce my eyes That open only to see you To lop off my ears That listen only to hear you To dismember my lips That know only to kiss you To peel off my skin That wants only to touch you To pith my brain That thinks only to please you To maim my muscles That move only to meet you To break all my bones That ache only to greet you To stick in my guts That ail only to know you And leave you my heart, as its all I have left As its always belonged; tacit, bereft ++++++++ If words could truly cut like a knife, Id write a poem that would rip your heart out. _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com ------------------------------ End of eda-thoughts-digest V5 #39 *********************************
