Would it be anything less? Steve opened and was in a silly mood, goofing about the presidents, I don't remember the names of his songs but he was very energetic and feeding off the girls yelling and proffessing their love for him. (he got off on it you know he did) Jewel came out wearing a lovely burgendy motif and tight black pants. She looked awfully thin to me since the last time I saw her a couple months ago. Here's a rundown of songs not in any particular order, just what I can remember. Hands Everything Breaks Sometimes Break me Stephenville~ commented on how she'd never sing a song publically about moving an ex's things out of the closet and giggled Cold Song~ said sarcastically how talented lyrically she was by writing this Race Car Driver~ very cute and sassy Little Sister~ oldie but goodie Morning Song~ someone begged for this one from the audience and she tried to remember it forgetting a word or two Life Uncommon Near You Always Who will save your soul Fly to me angel~ written for her Dad she said Grey Matter~ said this was about breakin up but wasn't bitter (so are her and ty havin problems?) My valentine w/steve~had the lyrics on paper and still messed up I thought I saw you last night w/steve You were meant for me w/steve~ sang in several different voices including Crannberries, Bob Dylan, Betty Boop, Marilyn Monroe, and herself but opera like. Oncore~ At this point said she was tired but had a couple left in her don't know the name but a song in another language Angel Standing By Overall, beautiful show, she said she was horse and I could tell. Just when you think she was gonna let it all out, she would bring her voice in softly (like she's been known to do) She had trouble with Morning Song and Break Me being in high notes but did well anyway. Who am I to critique you know! But I know you all love this stuff right? Anyway I took some awesome pictures and even one with Steve afterwards, he so fun :) I also saw Jewel's electric guitarist a few rows back I don't remember his name. Dark hair...The one that always plays notes and she copies. Nice to see his support for Jewel and I also saw Pierce Brosnan, you know 007 actor. He's a hottie and very tall. If anyone has any questions, do ask..oh one more thing Jewel was impressed by how vocal her audience was and made a comment that it was so "un-west coast". That usually on the west coast someone knows her manager and probably gave them the tickets. So she was pleased to see so many loyal fans. She also said that it was great to be home because everyone in NY seemed to yell, "show us your tits" when on stage. Then later it was quiet and she was thinking of a lyric and some guy yelled, "show us your tits" and she flipped him off! That's my Jewel! See ya later..Shelley ------------------------------ End of eda-thoughts-digest V3 #383 **********************************
