Fulmer" Subject: ET: Tell yourself you're an angel(poem) Hey there everyone, This is devoted to someone on the eda-thoughts(the first address) list with whom I was speaking earlier today. I hope none of you get jealous. I just think it's a shame if people think of themselves as anything less than angellic and beautiful. I think everyone should give themselves and others a daily regiment of compliments and although it sounds wierd, it does work psychologically. If you don't want my poems, let me know politely and I won't send them to you anymore. Comments and all that are welcome but not required. Take cares and Have a Fantastic Day!! :o) -Seth "And when you cry I'll be right there Telling you you were never anything less than beautiful" - -Jewel, "Angel Standing By" ===================================================== Tell yourself you're an angel by Seth D. Fulmer 11-2-00 You say that you're ugly and that nobody really likes you You say that you're not nice and that you have a mean side Perhaps you do, but I don't see it You should take a compliment some time You should give yourself them every day and whenever someone tears you down I do not know you, but I do have faith There's a lot of angellic potential there Beauty is so not only skin deep dear but includes the personality as well You may have long hair or even short hair Perhaps you have brown hair or are blond Perhaps you have freckles the size of meteors You may even have the loveliest face of all Maybe your skin is smoother than a baby's behind with oil and your behind makes your face meek and shy Who says that your breasts are not pleasant to look at and that the boy sitting in the corner doesn't want to dance with you tonight When you look at the sun rise or set each day Doesn't it just make you want to praise heaven? Why can't you look at your best friend and say "Thank you very much for always being there!"? Can you not go up to someone new on the street and just start talking to them about their day? Doesn't it make you feel all warm and toasty knowing that you made a difference for them. Perhaps you don't have the wings or the halo and maybe you can't hear music at the sunrise Some days it may feel like the world is against you But those are the days that you are needed the most And the most wonderful thing is Angels are not ugly They make mortals dwarf about beauty in comparison So when you feel down, and like everyone's against you Pick yourself up and then tell yourself you're an angel. ------------------------------ End of eda-thoughts-digest V3 #370 **********************************
