Dear Angels, Oh yes, I rock. All bow to the great Courtney, Goddess of Everything that Rocks. Well, Paul broke up with me because of some issues we've been having. Today he came over and gave me all my stuff back, and then he brokeup with me. But, it's all good. We're on good terms. He told me that he knew I wanted it and so he was giving me his guitar. :) So i'm quite happy about that. Afterwords he was crying and venting about how he wished I could have been more ready for the relationship he'd wanted, and when i was, call him. Normally I woulda just told him to go about his loser way, but I was just thinking "let it out, say what you want, I got the guitar". I came in from outside after he left, half crying, and my mom hugged me and all, but i just looked up with a devilish grin and said "But i got to keep the guitar!". So, good times were had by all. Today was the funeral of my grandfather, who, as some of you may know, passed on this past tuesday. I'm okay though, it's all good. Everything is getting back to it's normal state of total chaos, so I'm actually doing much better. Paul and I are still talking every now and again over email, but I got the guitar, and as bitchy as I know it sounds, i know that that is a tie. He said he'll always be ready and willing to try again when I'm ready, and he said that's why he wanted me to have the guitar. Because I wanted it, and because it would give him an excuse to come around every now and again. he hadn't named it, so I took it in my liberty to name it Tremonti, after Mark Tremonti guitarist of Creed. I must be going, the past week has shot my nerves to hell, but i'm feeling soooo good.... :) Court PS: Big thanks to Nai, Seth and Sly for helping me through some interesting insane things been going on lately. i love yall. _______________________________________________________ Say Bye to Slow Internet! http://www.home.com/xinbox/signup.html ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 14 Oct 2000 23:31:10 -0700 (PDT) From: Katherine Alexandra Subject: ET: vote. ok i gotta say something, and god, i don't mean to spread my political views on anyone, but i have to just say this, because its getting difficult to sit back and just watch everything fall to pieces because the young ones don't vote and the old ones don't care. so here's what i have to say, not to be too aggressive or anything, just want to get this off my chest and all, it being such a crazy election year... first of all, we gotta vote. i don't care how cynical you are or who you vote for, just please vote if you are of age. please. i can't get over how many of my friends my age don't have their registration cards, and if they have it, i have a feeling they wont be using it this year. there is a new ad campaign going on in portland, really amazing...they show these ads, one of them has a little boy with a gun in his hand ready to shoot this other little boy, it says above it "don't vote, things are perfect the way they are". then the have one with the swatzka in middle of a cornfield, one with police beating up a protester and one of this homeless family. above all of them it says just that, 'DONT VOTE THINGS ARE FINE THE WAY THEY ARE'. yah, keep that in mind. not too preach to much but please also actually look into the canidates because guess what, you do have a lot to lose or gain depending who you vote for. don't vote on who your parents are voting for, or what party you think you "belong" to or if you thikn you belong to any party at all, just look into it, you all have the net, its simple to look up this information, just don't sit back and complain about health care and that this "country is going to hell" without at least trying to voting process out. think about it. no one thinks that young people will vote. basically from 18-30 they assume wont vote, and they are right, don't you just hate it when "they" are right? but they will be because we don't vote. why is everyone going on about senior prescriptions? yah its a problem but also because seniors vote. we don't. even about fixing the school system, very important and needs to be done, but thats what the suburban 30 and 40 somethings want to hear. if they thought we were voting, they would be going after OUR issues. so make yourself heard, please prove everyone wrong, that we aren't uneducated about the issues, and that we do care more about malls and our little lives. sorry about this ranting, just gotta post it love, kat __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? But if you vote for Gore because you think he's more likely to help senior citizens or you vote for Bush because you think he's more likely to send you some tax $$ back, you're failing as a citizen. Unless, of course, you're one of those wonderfully responsible ppl who remember to research, understand, even take the time to meet your state senators and congressmen, those to washington and those in your own capitol. especially to those of us who see problems with the current educational system, local government provides like 90%+ of the funding for public education.. so neither gore nor bush are going to reform our schools. they may present mandates, and block grants might end up funding them, but the point is that local representatives.. down to your city councilmen are absolutely as important as anybody else.. don't think that voting bush/gore/buchanan/whoevertheotherguyis counts as voting :) ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 15 Oct 2000 23:10:43 -0400 From: shivergirl Subject: Re: ET: (something to remember when) vote(-e+ing). nice to see james resurface. anybody seen the video for ~testify,~ by rage against the machine? tee ------------------------------ End of eda-thoughts-digest V3 #353 **********************************
