Beautiful strangers lie with children because their faith was lost in time. Understand the altitude. and you'll understand the sea. And then one day you'll turn around and all you'll see is me. Keep the shadows on your back. Bury your innocence under a tree. Until we meet again, my love maybe then you'll see. ***** I'll buy a bouquet of roses. I'll give you the petals. I'll give myself the thorns. We'll sleep on our separate gifts. To symbolize the soft & the piercing. the pure & the dark. the heaven & the hell. the you & the me. That is us. That signifies us. That combines us. That completes us. ______________________________________________________ well thats all of them. Hillbilly Love in a Dorm Room The stench is in the air and I know it well. The smell of Sweat and Salt and Pizza. The smell of Cheap Cologne and Dirty Clothes. The smell of Hillbilly Love, I can feel it on my skin like mold. It keeps growing and spreading with these air born spores that creep into my noes and crawl down my throat into my lungs. It is all I can do to squint my eyes and try not to picture the horrid thing that is growing in my lungs from this prolonged exposure... and try to block from my mind the grotesque source of the smell. - --- I tried to forget you but you tied bells to your name ~Jewel "Love Me Just Leave Me Alone" http://homepages.go.com/~mysteriousraven/door.html *********************************** chickclick.com http://www.chickclick.com girl sites that don't fake it. http://www.chickmail.com sign up for your free email. http://www.chickshops.com boutique shopping from chickclick.com *********************************** ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 27 Jun 2000 17:17:44 EDT From: Tudegirl08@aol.com Subject: ET: Re: Jewel-News: Foolish Games dance cover I don't know why but this cover really erks me. I wish people would be original. And when I say original I mean not just change the background music. Jewel worked hard to send a certain message in her voice through this song and you could hear it in the tone of her words and it just bothers me that this Marina aritist is turning it into some trendy dance tune. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 27 Jun 2000 20:45:54 -0400 From: shivergirl Subject: Re: ET: Re: Jewel-News: Foolish Games dance cover where is this marina from? have you heard it? any redeeming quality? for example, i think the latest release of both sides, now, dunno who by, (originally by joni mitchell), but covered by lots and lots of people, has merit in what it is, a dance song, and actually brings out another side of it (more poppy whimsical, light-hearted while being reflective). same with american pie. but i can see how foolish games would be hard to make sound upbeat or appropriate to a fast-paced beat. kinda like my heart will go on sped up. yuck. t ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 28 Jun 2000 03:35:25 +0200 From: "Dr. RomeAntic" Subject: ET: learning I recieved a huge slap in the face today... and basically it was self inflicted... so...
