I want to share a little something, some of you will roll your eyes and think that i'm a conceited ass running off of the testosterone provided by a) pretty women or b) my little fantasy world i'm dating our school's homecoming queen. if you know me, well if you've seen me, you'll understand why that's something to talk about. i'm not terrible looking, but I know i'm not exactly spectacular, and she's just a bombshell.. so when people see pictures or us in person, they kinda look at it and wonder exactly how that works... this is especially fun in area college-coffee shops... some wonder how I got her, some wonder why I'd want her.. the point i'm getting at of course is that we all value certain things differently. Although you can look at pulchritude and be completely repulsed, labeling it as something superficial or irrelevent, or whatever word you'd like to stick on the end of that sentence, but I wont kid anyone for even the time in which thought travels, I value _physical beauty_ immensely. I like being around beautiful things, people included. Personally, I believe that it just makes the whole word *happier*- or at least that's the affect it has on mine. This analogy is somewhat inaccurate because all of the people on the EDA list are not directly affected by Jewel's apperance, and most of them would like the music even if she looked like me [i'm male]. The point I'm trying to convey of course is that even though you may think that her apperance - especially something as specific as her hair- is unimportant, it is actually quiet relevent in the world we live in. Even if that fact disgusts you, it doesn't disgust everyone else. :-) I honestly dont believe that it's shallow. Take a deeper perspective yourself and chose to perceive beauty as a compliment to a life well lived. It's not a requirement, it's an accessory. It's not a necessity, and you are right in proclaiming that people who deem it so are pions. Just my thoughts and all, the scorching flames of contradiction welcomed. if any of you actually care [ha] there's a few pics of me up somewhere... http://www.geocities.com/pipeline/curb/9104/me/photography.htm *I think* lol yeah so....comments on everything posted 8-10 sometime tomorrow :-) be sure to stop by http://www.geocities.com/pipeline/curb/9104/start.htm James ~hike up your skirt a little more/show your world to me~ ------------------------------ End of eda-thoughts-digest V3 #11 *********************************
