Of Tolerance Our nation was founded centuries ago and since this time its greatness due to our tolerance. We are taught of parables of old were being different is good and bold. Who has not heard of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer or the Ugly Duckling and other tales in which we learn not to be mean. The greatness of our nation has faded as our once noble ideals have slowly degraded. As I sit and watch our beloved Troy burning, I feel an immeasurable yearning for the impossible salvation of our civilization. Was the terrible fee of our liberty the loss of common decency? Has everyone forgotten everything you do is a reflection of you. There is a real solution to this unseen pollution that rips holes in our immortal souls. To fix our world with olive branch and dove We must use the greatest power which binds us together--Love. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 20 Sep 1999 19:53:55 +0200 From: "Claudia" Subject: ET: In Front Of The Sea Hi guys. This is a poem i wrote about a month ago when i was on vacation by the seaside. Let me know if you like it. **************************************************************************** **************************************************** In Front Of The Sea I just would like to sit down and stare at the sky thinking of you for a while. I feel homesick in front of the sea because it's you i cannot see. Distance is too painful sometimes when you can't hide what you feel inside 'cause even when words seem to spin like a cyclone in your mind in reality it's just your heart singing to you a luulaby. When everything seems fake and you just find one true thing you feel scared because it's so pure and different from all you have ever seen. And when your mind tells you 'It's wrong!' just say 'Shut up!' and your soul will tell you 'Follow your heart!' But Trust is a fragile flame and it's always to easy to find someone to blame 'cause even one thoughtless word can break a heart but just one glance can be a spark. And it seems so wrong and it seems so weird but that's all i feel and i ain't got nobody who tells me 'what you feel is what you are and what you are is beautiful' 'cause i'm afraid it would be too painful but pain is better than apathy and maybe i'm just waiting for some sympathy. Confusion in my heart, confusion in my soul my feelings sway like these waves in the sea and who said that you can't get hurt by what you cannot see? Destiny leads our lives with its invisible hand and we'll never know when we are close to the end. But till that day a blue sky will be my kingdom and one day my sweetheart's smile will be my freedom. But now i just would like to sit down and stare at the sky thinking of you for a while. **************************************************************************** **************************************************** Sorry it was so long but i hope you liked it! Take care Claudia ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 20 Sep 1999 17:37:22 EDT From: JewelAng@aol.com Subject: ET: Poetry and random things for my web page Hello Angels, Well I'm looking mainly for poetry that I can put on my web site.
