Visit http://www.msn.com ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 08 May 1999 16:49:17 -0700 From: winters Subject: ET: thoughts/"poems" BACK AGAIN and so we sit staring at each other again. i want to just play with my food, give you a quick rundown on my life and then leave. why must this be so hard. you ask how i have been. is that some sort of joke? but i just smile and say, fine and you? in hopes that you could note the sarcasim, you've never been good and noticing tones in speech patterns though. you tell me that my hair looks nice, it's growing out. i remark on the tattoo, never thought you'd actualy do it. you have been to me a sister, teacher, enemy, theif, mother, mentor, angel, stranger, demon, clone but most of all best friend. sometimes i can't even look you in the eyes. those blue eyes that i envied for so long. because mine were only brown. you would tell me that they were actualy hazel. sometimes in diners you would play "brown eyed girl" for me. everything carries a deeper meaning with us. everything symbolizes something stronger. i wish i could look you in the eyes. so here we are. deciding to speak again. trying to pretend that there was no betrayl, no tears shed, no dreams shattered. we laugh over coffee and coke. somehow it does seem like we are back where we left off, still me prefering the elitist coffee and you sipping the conformed soda.
