I'll give everyone a very detailed update once I finish (very emotionally) writing it down myself, but for now, here's a brief account I gave someone (not really about the camp, just about feelings and stuff): "This is definately a time when I've realized the meaning of the word 'friend' and the term 'to love'. And this isn't just one of those temporary, blow-up things, it's definately a realization. The people I met in the past week know me more than almost all of the people back here at home. ....It was such a place of opening and growth. ....It was a place where a person must work through all the problems (and let me tell you, all of life's troubles came to the surface there) and know that nothing is too hard to bear and the results are so gratifying and wonderful. I was getting into a relationship with a guy there, and we broke it off because of distance and stuff.... Nevertheless, I had a very hard time for several days, that involved long talks with him, long walks in the dark supported by listening friends, a lot of crying and sobbing, a lot of thinking, a lot of growing, a lot of sorting, a lot of understanding and coming to terms with realities. We ended the week on very good terms, he and I, in fact, he is one of the closest and most dear friends that I made at camp. I think our experience together is partly what brought us together. But before this, while I was still in the midst of working things out, it was very hard, and I had a backbone of understanding, caring people and I was so surrounded by their love. I truly found out what loving someone is this past week, and I can honestly say that I love each and every one of these people that I got to know with all of my heart. It's the kind of long-lasting, non-breakable friendship that I've always sought for and have at last found. So right now I'm going through a rather hard time, it's difficult being seperated from people who are so closely tied to your soul. It'll be better when everyone is rested up and back into the swing of writing and calling, but for now we're all waiting for people to get home, get unpacked and begin keeping in touch. Anyway, time to end that rambling, for now, ye shall have to wait for my enormous version of camp to come out. :)" There you are...I'll give a more better account later.
