Remember 'Maneater'? 'Whoa here she comes/Watch out or she'll chew you up' 2) Oingo Boingo (which someone mentioned briefly) How about 'Dead Man's Party'? remember the scene in 'Back to School' when they are playing the party at the dorm room, because that's the coolest band they could think of to get for the film? Wow. 3) Billy Idol. Nuff said. 4)Anybody else remember the film 'Eddie and the Cruisers'? with Michael Pare and Tom Berenger. Hmm... I've been sensing a lead in to 80s movies. I think it's time (We all know of course that the 80s was the best decade for Hollywood. Don't even get me started. I'll never stop) Okay, before I go crazy Ben ps- Corey Feldman and Corey Haim. Come on! the 80s RULED!!! ____________________________________________________________________ Get free e-mail and a permanent address at http://www.netaddress.com/?N=1 ------------------------------ Date: 23 Aug 98 23:27:16 EDT From: genben@usa.net Subject: ET: and now for something completely different Hey, alright now that I got that other stuff out of my system, here's the poems from today. I like this day off stuff. I had forgotten how nice it is to not work. Now I just know how out of shape I am. *summer* sun burns down without any remorse for those of us subject to its heat *voetbal* my gut wrenches as I deal with dehydration oh why did I play? *japanese tourists* they chatter away in their native tongue as I write poems that come from their homeland I wonder who came up with the idea for haiku? (I think I know) And why isn't this one? Let's write ku-hai poems with nineteen syllables 7-5-7 (sort of backwards) and they'll be about machines since haiku is about nature yeah... *ku-hai* mechanical life ruled by computers and fax hey, why mess with a good thing? There's my experiment. I kinda like it. Anyway, reading to do (books, that is).... Ben ps-anyone who can tell me where I stole that subject line from gets... well, it can be discussed ____________________________________________________________________ Get free e-mail and a permanent address at http://www.netaddress.com/?N=1 ------------------------------ End of eda-thoughts-digest V1 #145 **********************************
