'Come on and whip it, whip it good.' Now that was fucking MUSIC. If I was in the DC Metro area, I'd be there in a second. As much as I like to talk trash about the 80's music, the music just hasn't been as fun since then. I mean, nothing against the whole grunge thing, there were plenty of good songs... but they were mostly real downers. Back in the 80's, it was either songs about love (75% of the songs, if you include the power ballads), or meaningless songs that were just plain fun to listen to. Get down! :) It's getting back to being a little less depressing, but the 80's really did the trick. OH MY! I just thought of THE ABSOLUTE COOLEST song. It goes a little something like this: (don't worry if it's not immediately familiar, you'll recognize it by the chorus. :) "I'll drive a million miles to be with you tonight So if you're feeling low turn up your radio The words we use are strong they make reality But now the music's on oh baby dance with me yeah. Rip it up, move it down Rip it up, move it down to the ground Rip it up, cool down Rip it up, and get the feeling not the word. Everybody have fun tonight, (everybody have fun tonight) Everybody Wang Chung tonight, (everybody have fun tonight) Everybody Wang Chung tonight, everybody have fun..." Now THAT song kicked much ass. :) Go ahead, just try to beat it!
