I was alone in my house today and I had this song on loop really loudly, and every time I heard the lines "You are possessed with a power bigger than the pain" I would sing along really loudly with them... like i was giving myself my own little pep talk... but hey, it works! Sometimes we just need the reminder that we all have the strength in ourselves to get through things... you can always turn to others for help - friends, family, your cat, whatever - but in the end, you have it within yourself to withstand anything... you have the power to get through anything... a power bigger than the pain. In 1940, a little boy in Belgium was hiding from SS. When he finally got to his hiding place..he realized: he left his sister behind. He goes back to get her knowing all the danger that represented. He couldn't find her; but they found him. SS took him away. He didn't scream, he didn't resist...He was happy that they didn't took his sister too. Hildegard got home late in the evening. The house was a mess. The furniture was everywhere. She got scared, really scared. - -Mama. Mama! She looked everywhere, but everyone was gone. - -Magdalena! Franz! Helga! Babies!
