It's a feature including chat, news, and message board. Well, i really am not on the net enough for it to be good so i gave ownership to a great guy and a great webmaster, Gerrit. Hopefully, soon the list will be up and going at full throttle! Also, if you already subscribed to the list, you need to re subscribe, the info on the server was deleted! Thanks! Hell, I guess I still am... She and I broke up in 95 (broke up being code for: her dumping me out of the blue) Since then, she and I have each had a couple of relationships with other people, her more than me, and more serious, as for me, I could not dig into another relationship.... Several times between then and now have we gotten back together, including just a week ago for about 24 hours.... We are comfortable in each others arms, but there is some curse upon us I guess... I have had a narrow focus over the years, and have only gone out with two other people, and for short times.... It does sound like obsession, and I will admit, that the first time we broke up, it took me a long time to find much joy in my life... and even today, when she and i are apart, I do not feel whole... but i digress.... Amanda and I were best friends before we started going out in 95, and it just naturally moved from there... We went out forever, and then she dumped me, and yet we hung out, and did some very relationship like things, while claiming to be apart..... She and I are a strange lot, and now thinking on what i have just typed, I know it sounds strange, and has no bearing on the subject, but it is a long story, and I have not the energy to type it right now.... anyway, I guess, that kinda gives ya'll a view from the obsessed chap's perspective... anyway take care rowdy ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 8 Oct 1999 23:11:01 EDT From: alan@jeweljk.com Subject: ET: MrBB-YOU are invited to the NEW HGH Website! Hi all, Most of you have some knowledge of the foundation that Jewel & Nedra created called Higher Ground For Humanity. I've discussed the "Be The Difference That Makes A Difference" ideas with many of you personally & I think many of you have read a bit about HGH's Clearwater Project at www.clearwaterproject.com. However, I'm well aware that many more of you have been patiently waiting for more information about HGH. I know this because every day I recieve at least one of the following questions from EDAs: What is Higher Ground For Humanity? What is HGH's mission? How is HGH funded? What is unique about HGH? What programs is HGH currently involved with? How can I get involved? I've also recieved MANY inquiries over the past year from folks who wanted to contribute donations to HGH & plenty more wishing to communicate with HGH staff. I'm happy to announce that the resources for communications & the answers to your questions are now at your fingertips at the brand new HGH website, unveiled today at: http://www.highergroundhumanity.org We'd enjoy you visiting us! You'll find many answers as well as information about the various HGH alliances, including your own EDAFoundation (including photos from an HGH/EDAF meeting held earlier this year), as well as important links you should explore. There's also email & regular postal mail communications available on the site for those of you wishing to communicate directly with HGH. They want to hear from everyone who's written me the past year or so graciously offering skills or ideas. Theres been many of you! Now you can communicate directly with HGH staff via the site. I should also add that you can help support HGH's Clearwater Project in an enjoyable way, by purchasing Jewel's "Life Uncommon" benefit single being released on Tuesday. It'll be in stores & hopefully easy to find, but you can also find it as part of special limited quantity "NetAid Package" on the HGH site. It contains an HGH "Be The Difference" organic T-shirt, Sticker, and the benefit single all for only $15! All these proceeds will benefit HGH's Clearwater Project. You can view these items on the site (including a sneak preview of the single cover). Have a great weekend, enjoy NetAid & visit us for ideas if you would like to get involved! Alan ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 09 Oct 1999 06:37:22 -0400 From: Mike Connell Subject: ET: Info for Jewel's gig at NetAid today As a reminder to all, and to answer the many posts still coming in to Jewel@smoe.org asking, Jewel is scheduled to perform between 5pm and 6pm Eastern USA Time today during NetAid. Knowing how events like this always have performance times adjusted, it's best to tune in an hour before to an hour after her scheduled time if you want to be assured of catching her act. (you should wacth the whole event anyway, it sounds like it's going to be great!) While I am sure MTV will have sporadic news reports on the event from time to time during the day, VH1 WILL be covering it solid from 3:00pm until 10:00 pm ET. (these times are according to their web site) As Alan Bershaw posted earlier this week, MANY radio stations throughout the planet will be covering this event, and the post he sent on is included below. There was also a second post from another EDA with radio stations ID's and it had a bunch of stations from Mexico, but I don't have that info now. However there's so many stations covering this, I woiuld have to think that for most of you there is s staion near you that you can tune in and listen. For those of you with Real Audio and Real Video, the VH1 web site is hosting live coverage via both RA and RV, and it's also available at the AOL VH1 site, keyword VH1. You can also hit www.netaid.org to listen in live. Mike :-) MrBBs' post from earlier in the week: Hi all, I'm sure many of you will want to listen and/or record the radio broadcasts from NetAid this coming Saturday, October 9th, which features Jewel among the list of performers. Here's a LONG list of radio stations carrying the broadcast around the world. This list is very comprehensive for Canada, Europe & Australia & has the currently confirmed US stations. If you can't find a convenient radio station listed, check the NetAid.org website for updated info this week. Also check there for radio information for all other countries not listed below. You can also call local stations & see if they've decided to participate. If not, encourage them to do so! NetAid will also be broadcasting live on the web (NetAid.org & MTV.com) as well as on TV (VH1 in North America & BBC2 in the UK). For other global TV info check locally & at NetAid.org for info applicable to your location. We don't know what time Jewel will perform, so best to tune in, educate yourself about NetAid & enjoy the broadcast. Here's the radio stations list. Cheers!
