It seriously honestly depends on the mood I'm in, which in itself is influenced by many factors and can change at any time for no apparent reason. I have 2 novels so far...1 that I've finished sorta(just never published cuz it SUCKS!(compared to my favorite author and perfection personified Terry Goodkind)) and 1 that I'm working on. I used to use the novels as stress relief. If something messed up happened in my life(or something just happened, messed up or not), I'd place it into a fantasy perspective. Like...for example, the story starts by me being born into on a planet with magic and my dad's this evil Ogre type creature and my mom's a human who he enslaved. My sister's this reject who has the power to manipulate other people and I have the hidden potential to do whatever I want(i.e..omnipotence). When I wrote it, my parents had punished me by taking away my computer access even though it was my own computer and at the time, that was torture(heck, now it would be pure torture hehe :)). And like last night for example...I was walking back to my apartment and just started spouting off this love poem and it made me start blushing myself...but I lost the mood when I entered my apartment(I think it's that red, fiery, tortured souls motif that does it *j/k*(implying my apartment's hell!)). Also, if it pours, go with it! hehe :) Once you have the finish product, refine it(or even not if it's a poem because poetry is good anyways :)). I apply this philosophy to even my programming. Last few weeks in my class on OOP programming, the assignment was to create a 3D TicTacToe game but using OOP and not just regular programming. I did it "my" way...got it to work, then converted it to look and feel like the professor wanted it. And like the Renaissance sculptors basically did the same thing sorta...started with a block of marble and from there refined it to perfection :) Anyhow, I'm babbling...and you all probably are telling me "SHUT UP!!" so I'll shut up now :) Take care and Have a Great Day! :o) Seth D.
