["Rizioule" Subject: ET: NEW Open Mic at Jason's Hi you guy's, I am very proud to announce my latest, greatest accomplishment in the Concert/Sound Production Business ! I have, just tonight been hired as the Talent Coordinator and Promotions Director of Jason's Nightclub in San Diego. 2901 Nimitz at Rosecrans inside the Quality Inn. My first event, as always, is an interactive event that everyone can be a part of ! We will be having an OPEN MIC every THURSDAY night. Jason's has by far, the nicest sound and lighting system I have been privledged to work with in San Diego The setup reminds me of Nashville or Las Vegas. It has a huge stage with a full CONCERT SOUND SYSTEM, special effects, lighting, THE WORKS ! I will be booking Bands and Artists on Wendsdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Every Thursday will be OPEN MIC. So if you guys want to play on the "baddest" sound system in San Diego, saddle up and come on down Thursday : ) Fridays show at REDS is CANCELLED. The woman that own's "RED's rip off coffee shop" tricked me into working for over a month for free to develop the show and then left me hi and dry without so much as a "thank you" I would consider it a personal favor if you guys never go there again for coffee or anything else. She ROBBED me . But I guess every cloud has it's silver liner. If she hadn't ripped me off, I would not have gotten the gig at Jason's. This new place really rocks ! So, this Thursday is my first night. I would LOVE it if you guys could come down and let's do some old fasioned EDA christening to this place : ) It wont be the first one of those we've done, eh So Cal EDA's ? Well thats the news. At first it was one long poem but I decieded to chop it up. I don't like this poem too much. It feels like a lecture or something, but it's not like how I usally write. The only one is Hands. I'm too found of number two or three. Oh well enjoy is it's at all possible. Rebecca Hands I look at them with thinkful eyes, I wonder what my hands will be doing in 10 years. Will they be holding a child? Caressing a lover? Spreading my dreams into reality? Or will I be alone and not living out my dreams? Hands 2 I wonder what it's like to be doing what I hate, for the rest of your life. I hate to think that my passions will become my hobbies. Maybe that is what hobbies really are; dreams and passions that are pushed aside for extra time, while you slave over something you hate. Then your whole life seems to ba a job. The things you liked now seem like more work you have to do. Hands 3 I wonder what my hands will be doing in 10 years. I hope I'm not like the so many many people whose passions become hobbies and thus you come misrable in life because you have no motive, nothing to live for. Well, my name's Elizabeth and i live in a city called riverside in southern california (about 1 hour and 45 min from San Diego and 1 hour from LA). I'm 17 and love Jewel from what i know of her. The first time i heard about angelfood was a couple months ago because, well, i wasn't really up to date with the whole internet thing. Well, i first heard of Jewel from the radio when they played WWSYS and i loved it. then i saw her on some VH1 special with Melissa Etheridge and i thought "cool" that's her! so after that i bought her PoY CD and loved Jewel even more. Then when her Spirit CD came out, i bought it immediatly. And so forth, i have come to an obsession (well as my friends who don't understand see it) so i came to the internet to seek comfort in those who love Jewel also. And i have found those things in Jewel mailing lists. *yay* In late June, i saw Jewel for the first time in concert in Irvine.
