This is just complete b.s. When I was told yesterday, initially I was okay with it...upset, but okay. Then I got home yesterday and Cilla (who's coming from New Orleans this weekend, and very anxious to see me) and I talked about it, and I just got very angry. Why even call this and EDA concert anymore? Isn't that false advertising? The "EDA concert" has now become "Special Appearance By." I figure by this weekend, the other 2 EDAs who are playing are gonna get knocked off as well. Hell, they only get like 10 minutes anyway. SO how much time is booked anyway? I'm assuming the "special appearances" get about an hour. And then there's Rizioule, who is just an EDA himself, but probably gets a good amount of time himself. Maybe I'm being judgemental in assuming this, but to me it seems like he started this thing with the facade of it being for us, the EDAs...and now it's just a chance for him to get to play in front of all these people. There are 2 EDAs coming from way out of town (Louisiana and Ohio) who were very excited about me playing...and it's very inconsiderate to knock the whole concept of this concert just to get a few famous names in. As far as I know there willl be 4 EDA performers in San Diego. And 3 featured performers . As far as Jamies ideas about how and why I run this show, The featured performers are "Featured" because they are professionals and this is a professional concert. Not an open mike. The "EDA Spotlight Performances" as well as the featured Artists are for ENTERTIANMENT PURPOSES ONLY The main purpose of this event is not to showcase musicians. EDA or otherwise. It is to bring us all together. The "Gathering of Angels" I believe that bonds between these Angels will be created and strengthend through these gatherings. I truly believe that we are all part of something very important. To me being a Everyday Angel means a lot more than being on a computer mailing list. To me it means ( among many other things) Realizing that : * We as humans have faults We must Distinguish these faults from sins, and work constantly to purify our spirits in a quest to return to innocence. *We cannot fly with the weight of the world on our shoulders Working together we must find a way to eliminate the oppresion brought upon us by greed, lust and hatred. Only then can we truly be free. The whole world needs to do this, not just EDA's If you really listen to the WORDS in Jewels songs you may be suprised to find that she has been trying to tell you many things. Don't worry about her hair or her clothes. Just listen.
