But then I was still in the poetry-writing mood so I wrote this poem...I called it "Insanity Spectrum" but it could probably have many more names if I felt like thinking about it. I value your opinions so please let me know what you think I can do in the following situation: There is an acquaintence of mine that is being picked on. Just because of one thing he said everyone jumped to conclusions about him. I refused to assume things so I talked to him and found out more about him. He is a good person but now I'm stuck in the middle sort of because the other people in our group pretty much excommunicated him and I'm afraid that they will stop talking to me if they know I'm still his friend. So I need to ask you: Do you think it's wrong to judge people by one thing they might have done wrong in the past? If so would you stand up for this person and defend him against your friends even if it meant you lost those valuable friendships? Help! I don't know what to do. If you feel that you may loose friends over sticking up for one friend then those ppl aren't your friends and you really don't hold that grudege or judgement against your other friend. I know your exact situation and it's really a tough decision. If your friends pick on this kid, then maybe you should tell them to stop in a nice way or ask what their problem is or something like that. Don't be mean but jokingly tell them that you're serious and there's no reason to pick on him cuz of one thing. Ask them if they were being picked on cuz of one thing if they would want to continue being picked on for it.
