I think that if the world took her advice and exercised thoughtfulness every day the world would be a better place. I am currently trying to organise a teen talk group to speak to all the schools in my district about teenage violence, depression, alienation, and suicidal tendencies. I want to educate the world about these topics and what signs we can look for to prevent things like the Littleton Shootings to happen in our community. I encourage everyone to leave their porch lights on at night for the rest of the weekend (short time i know) or longer, as a symbol that you are willing to keep out the darkness of the world and let the light shine in. Also, Columbine's school colors are blue and silver and I think we should all make ribbons and wear them for every person affected by what happened on Tuesday and to give your support against violence in schools. I encourage everyone to speak up as soon as possible to everyone who will listen...it took something this horrendous to finally wake me up and now I am not letting this opportunity pass me by. The world is listening now and I will talk! Please, love your neighbor and if you don't know someone...take the time to get to know them. If you have ever called someone a name...think about what it might be doing to them...they are not you...they perceive name calling differently than you do...expect that, and learn to think before you speak. This will be the hardest lesson I will ever learn...but I'm lucky I'm realising it before any one I love gets hurt more. Take care of yourself, and be thoughtful of others Erin "In the end, only kindness matters." I started a new One List called HGHEverydayAngels. My list is obviously about Higher Ground For Humanity (a charity founded by Jewel Kilcher and her mother Nedra Caroll). This is a well organized list who's main goal is to get to know Higher Ground For Humanity better. List member's are encouraged to post as many times as they would like. You can ask question's about Higher Ground For Humanity and hopefully will get an answer. You may post facts about Higher Ground For Humanity obviously. You do not just have to post about HGH. This list is also set toward's charity work, spirituality, being human, being inspired, etc. Intelligent conversation is welcome. I am starting this list because I am inspired by Jewel and her wonderful music. I learned of this One list contest and decided to make my own list. For those of you who do not know, One List is putting on a contest. Whoever has the most list member's wins $5,000 for any charity organization of their choice. Of course, if this list won the money would be given to Higher Ground For Humanity. After the contest is through, this list will still run. HGHEverydayAngels is not set up just for this contest. I am hoping to get a lot of you angels to sign up. I encourage you to join. Hopefully, we can all learn to be human together! :-) Poetry, short stories, writings, thoughts, are all welcome too. This list is mainly set towards Higher Ground For Humanity and learning from each other. To subscribe go to One List (www.onelist.com) and become a member. Then go to the search thing they have and type in HGHEverydayAngels. Then hit subscribe. If you are interested in supporting this list for the contest but do not want mail, then check off the "No Mail" box. So far, I only have 14 subscribers! There are hundered's of angels out there! Please support this list, HGH, and Jewel! :-) I'll see you at the list! Having trouble? Write to me! @~ Rachel ~@ Be sure to visit http://www.Garfield.com ! Guns don't kill people. People kill people. You get a gun, leave it unloaded, keep it out of reach of anyone at all, and does it kill anyone? no. Put a gun in the hands of the wrong people and there's your trouble. Take away the guns, we'll end up using something else, and we've lost a form of protection. love and luck always Courtney ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
