BEST GUY FRIEND: adrian. bestest friend ever. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 15 Feb 1999 17:09:58 -0800 From: moonsong@ix.netcom.com (Charlie, Andalite, & The Goddess) Subject: ET: life etc. angels, you never know when someone close to you will be hurt or even die. we forget these kinds of things, taking life for granted, taking health for granted, taking friends for granted. and life has a way of bringing it back to our attention through pain, loss, suffering. it jolts our eyes back open and makes us realize how split-second everything is, how delicate are the lives of the people we love, and how shameless life's events can be. it brings everything back to our attention so that we're faced with the prospects and facts of our lives, a shattering reality, or a breath of relief that something worse didn't happen to wake us again. one of my friends got in a serious and very bad biking accident yesterday, on valentines day. he's kind of one of those all-terrain guys who does stunts and is very daring. luckily he was wearing a helmet and gear, but he still fell straight on his face on the pavement and was rushed to the hospital. he spent 5 hours in ER and he may someday lose his teeth because they were so loosened and drastically shifted and jammed out of place. his face is very messed up too and he has cuts and swelling. and so while he'll live, he's changed i think, and in a bit of a state of shock. this is the event that brought the bare honesty and matter-of-factness of being alive back to my attention rather sharply. that someone can be laughing one minute and on the ground the next is a startling fact to realize, and even a deadly one to take note of too late. everything is so fragile. if you can, keep my friend in your thoughts and send his worn and worried mother some good energy. love sam the ? angel moonsong@ix.netcom.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 15 Feb 1999 22:21:58 -0600 From: Scott- e Sykes Subject: ET: NJC: Homepage community Hey Angels, Off subject for ya.
