She was much like me, and she had faith in my ability. I listened to what she said, I read what she read. I see a bit of her soul everyday. Even though I haven't seen her in almost two years. Two whole years without her. I really wish she was around. Her beauty, her wit, her vast knowledge of my world. She taught me all there is to know about people and life, and money. She probably doesn't know this, but she taught me about love too. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ the end. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Couples by Jon Hamilton 6/22/98 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~` There is a couple to my right. They are an older couple. Obviously dating, and obviously haven't dated in awhile. There is a teen couple to my left. Very physical and verbose. They probably have that summer lust thing going for them. The married pregnant couple are reading together. His hand is on her swollen stomache. As she stares at the pages, he stares at her and smiles. He is quite glad to be with her, raising a family. There's an aspiring doctor studying her books. She is alone. She says she doesn't have time for school and relationship stress. She's really just afraid of commitment since her last boyfriend left her. Then there's a man across the lounge who also studys alone. He's having truoble though. He keeps glancing up at the young doctor that is in his view. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ the end ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~` hope you all enjoyed, please respond and tell what you think. :) Jon ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 23 Jun 1998 09:21:24 -0700 From: moonsong@ix.netcom.com (Us) Subject: ET: hey Hi people, AHHHH! I still have written absolutely NOTHING. NOTHING AT ALL! Well besides a few nice little diary entries, some lengthy letters, well you get the point, but NO POEMS. What's wrong here? I have no clue. Not that you actually care, I just thought I'd say that. My life IS going pretty well though (maybe that's the cause for no more depressing verses). Especially in boyfriend land. Eh let's see can we say that was lame? I think so, yes. On a good note, I got Jewel's poetry book! My sweet parents bought it for the lazy and broke yours truly. It's awesome, her poetry is great, and Doc Rome, seeing as some of my FORMER poems were in the style of some of HERS, I think I was quite Jewel-like all the time (though I won't say with her talent). Jamie, you're a cool person, really funky, and bitchy just like me, I just don't express it on this list. =) Eh, Naomi, I think I really owe you a big letter, cause I think I know (maybe) what you're talking about with that depressed letter to the list and I am SO sorry. *big hug for Naomi* Let's see, Lara, glad things are going well, Maggie, your life sounds like you ran over a huge obstical at the moment, I hope things get better with your mom. That's all for now from the coffee-goddess-chiquita! Later, Sam the ? seawater angel P.S. What do you guys think when you see that "?" in my little angel name? Do you think "questioning?" I'm interested to know. Let's see, maybe now I'll be inspired to go write a non-Jewel-style poem. Heehee. Does anyone ever find it to be hard to write a not-so-lame happy poem than a depressed poem? That's a sad thought. moonsong@ix.netcom.com ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 23 Jun 1998 14:46:56 EDT From: Angeljlb96@aol.com Subject: ET: HI EVERYONE! Hi guys! Sooooo...anyone on the Jewel, thoughts, or Tara list wanna meet, just let me know, and I'll try my hardest to arrange it. =) On a side note, I still have some Waldenbook Reports left. Love, Jamie *the everyotherday angel* ~We'll ride off to California with my arms around your chest, and we'll pretend that this is real cuz it's what I like best~ Ani Difranco ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 23 Jun 1998 18:00:39 -0500 From: Uneaq1@webtv.net (Maggie) Subject: ET: My best (recent) poem Here's the poem I posted a week or so ago...revised.
