I never saw it appear in my ecto mailbox, so one more try: Play videoSitting down on stage isn't typical of rock bands, but Buke & Gase is neither typical nor really a rock band. Watching Arone Dyer and Aron Sanchez perform feels more like witnessing a divination, as00:24:42Added on 10/22/1214,414 views As a long time member of this list, I have benefited from exposure to many new and amazing artists. I joined ecto because I was amazed by Happy Rhodes. After her unfortunate departure from the music scene, I became a bit of a lurker, enjoying the pointers to some great new music and artists. Ecto is one of two music lists to which I subscribe, the other being On Reflection, which is dedicated to the music of the progressive band of the 70's Gentle Giant. Happy was a fan of progressive music, especially Yes. I never knew if she was aware of Gentle Giant, but I'm sure she would like their music. In any case, that list recently turned me on to Buke and Gase, a Brooklyn-based musical duo. "Band members Arone Dyer and Aron Sanchez are noted for their use of handmade instruments such as the "toe-bourine;" the "buke," a six-string former-baritone ukulele; and the "gase," a guitar-bass hybrid." (quote from wiki) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rc2VU4Wb7G8 The mix and general sound quality here is lacking, but the performance shines through. People who've seen them are raving about their live performance. I for one was pretty impressed with that clip. Thought a few folks on Ecto might enjoy it as well. Peace!
