Sounds like the perfect album for those of us (me included) who don't particularly care for the usual Xmas music, but might want to put something on to celebrate the season... - --Sue ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 14 Sep 2012 15:22:53 -0500 (GMT-05:00) From: Mitch Pravatiner Subject: New way to promote ectophilic music? Today I heard on the news that _Saturday Night Live_ is going to start collecting suggestions for musical guests through social media. Wonder how receptive they'd be to ectophiles putting in a good word for ectophilic artists. The musicians who are giving their time are thrilled and not worried about money. It's the experience of collaborating with her that they are enjoying. No one is being forced into playing. She didn't pay David Byrne and no one complained about that. The musicians are happy; it's probably the union that isn't. fleur On Thu, Sep 13, 2012 at 12:03 PM, Sue Trowbridge wrote: > There's been quite a bit of controversy swirling around Amanda over > the last few days: > > http://www.boston.com/names/2012/09/12/amanda-palmer-looks-for-volunteers-finds-criticism/M708w9JIg75J1XUowSvlsM/story.html > > Personally, I think somebody who raised over $1M on Kickstarter should > be paying ALL of her musicians. > > --Sue > > On Thu, Sep 13, 2012 at 8:06 AM, CountryMouse wrote: > > I follow Amanda Palmer on Twitter, and the whole Kickstarter thing for > her > > album was amazing!
