I suspect due to license fees that they're unable to keep the videos streaming, but the playlist of their program is here: http://www.abc.net.au/rage/archive/s3582712.htm Amanda On Thu, Sep 6, 2012, at 07:50 AM, Neile Graham wrote: > The XX are offering their album, due out next week, for streaming at > http://coexist.thexx.info > > It's a cool site--it shows where people all around the world are > listening to the album. In Julia's case, it was her second and it's called By The Horns. She also released a solo album a couple of years back, but its release was very quiet -- it was originally sold at shows and then got a small record label release later on. It is an amazing, amazing, amazing album! For me, it was definitely one of -- if not the -- best album of that year. I've also been loving By The Horns and actually got to interview her not long ago: http://www.samesame.com.au/features/8599/Julia-Stone-goes-solo-but-Its-All-Okay.htm And you can also, of course, check out her website: http://juliastonemusic.com/ And Angus' website: http://angusstone.com/ And, of course, the Angus and Julia one: http://www.angusandjuliastone.com/ :) Warmly, Heidi. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 6 Sep 2012 16:46:06 -0700 From: jessica spurling Subject: Re: Cat Power's Sun I liked it pretty well on first listen, and thought I'd probably enjoy hearing it again. my boyfriend wasn't so sure what he thought of it on first listen. He said it was 'ok', but he wasn't pushing to listen again. I'm listening to it again now and I must say it has grown on my hugely on second listen, and I'm definitely going to be listening to it a few times more at least, probably quite a bit more. I'm listening on headphones this time and really appreciating details. The overall sound is pretty perfect for my current mood too - I'm busy, working, getting stuff done. The music is a good accompaniment at the moment. Good energy and lots of stuff to keep my interest. I have a feeling it'll wind up in my top albums of the year.. we'll see how that prediction turns out:) but that's how i feel now! - --jessica On Wed, Sep 5, 2012 at 12:33 PM, neile wrote: > Is all that.
