Begin to Hope is quite good, and I like 11:11 just fine. Far has way too many boring, indistinguishable songs, which shocked me because Regina is usually such a strong songwriter. I actually sold this one back. The new album has the amazing "All the Rowboats" but after listening to the NPR preview I realized that again that was really the only great song on the album, and bought only that song. She's delightful live, or at least was the last time I saw her, several years ago. - --Neile ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 27 Aug 2012 23:29:45 -0400 (EDT) From: Bernie Mojzes Subject: Re: dead can do more than dance yes. :) i was there too. my spousal unit said: "it was like being in a cathedral and in a forest at the same time." had a conversation this morning with a friend about Lisa Gerrard and Elisabeth Fraser, comparing their particular styles of glossolalia. best I could do was: Lisa Gerrard is Spirit. Elisabeth Fraser is Water. bernie On Mon, 27 Aug 2012, FAMarcus@aol.com wrote: > i saw DEAD CAN DANCE last night at the kimbell center in center > philadelphia. i really can't put it in words but if you get a chance to see them in > this tour you must do it. lisa's voice can put you somewhere not on this > plane of existence if you let it. i could not imagine what she and lorenna > would do to me if they sang together. they played a lot from the new > disc......annatasis. i'd say a top 3 of the albums they have done. maybe the > best the more i listen to it. spiritchaser was amazing but this has a > chance to surpass it. ...........god...........and her voice. > - -- brni i don't want the world, i just want your half. http://www.kappamaki.com/ http://brni.livejournal.com/ ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 17 Aug 2012 00:02:06 -0800 From: Adam Kimmel Subject: Olympics play Thea and Sandy Wow!
