As a result, my feeling on hearing her other albums was that they tended to sound overproduced. And while I agree with Paul that "Begin to Hope" is a great album, I'm always thrown by the newer recording of "Samson" and brings down my enjoyment of the album! Of the ones I have (I haven't gotten around to picking up 11:11 or Soviet Kitsch), the one I seem to press play on most often is "Far." But, really, I don't think you can go wrong if you've liked what you've already heard! jeff On Aug 28, 2012, at 6:48 AM, Michael Mendelson wrote: > RBJ recently noted: Regina Spektor is on Fresh Air! > > I admit I have heard her > name discussed here frequently but I never acted on it. If You like that album, then You might as well go buy them all ;0) Rikke 2012/8/28 Michael Mendelson : > RBJ recently noted: Regina Spektor is on Fresh Air! > > I admit I have heard her > name discussed here frequently but I never acted on it. Begin to Hope is quite good, and I like 11:11 just fine. Far has way too many boring, indistinguishable songs, which shocked me because Regina is usually such a strong songwriter. I actually sold this one back. The new album has the amazing "All the Rowboats" but after listening to the NPR preview I realized that again that was really the only great song on the album, and bought only that song. She's delightful live, or at least was the last time I saw her, several years ago. - --Neile ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V16 #532 ***************************
