I thought people would be raving about Fiona Apple's _The Idler Wheel_. I am absolutely loving it and have been listening to it pretty much every day since NPR had it up about a week before the release. It's raw and personal and at times ugly (she growls) and even sometimes fun ("Hot Knife"). There are musical traces of her last 2 albums. I bought the iTunes deluxe version but have only listened to the main album yet, not the bonus track and the videos. Other thoughts? I'm also surprised there's been no discussion of Regina Spektor's latest, _What We Saw From the Cheap Seats_. I love it, but I can see where people might think she's lost too much of her quirk. It appears that Kina Grannis is American, but she seems to tour all over the world. I could have seen her at Bush Hall in London last year. Does anyone know much about her? I've not downloaded anything else by her yet. Ellen "Literature stops in 1100.
