As we all know, most days consist of a 'Happy Birthday' message, but knowing this list is still operating, and to which I occasionally get to contribute, gives me comfort in ways that I can't adequately express. Getting the occasional announcement about a concert or other ecto news is almost icing on the cake. So, Thank You. You are much appreciated. bob k. - -- bob k. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 4 Feb 2026 12:03:17 -0800 From: Neile Graham Subject: Re: Thank you I recently retired from my day job, so I do plan to get back to updating The Ectophilesb Guide to Good Music, which Jeff and Damon have continued hosting in their servers. Thank you both. This is a time of returns, with some old favourites putting out great music that is a return to form to my ears after albums that didnbt do much for me. The Innocence Missionbs new album reminds me very much of their heyday, as does Stereolabbs, and I finally discovered Toribs Ocean to Ocean which I loved after many years of just not caring about her releases. These and the new Tunng and especially Sudan Archives (my favourite of last year) have been so great, though I do confess I listen to audiobooks more than music these days. Greetings to all. I hope webre all coping okay in the dystopia. bNeile > On Feb 4, 2026, at 9:18b/AM, Damon wrote: > > Hi Jeff - > > I'm happy to take it over if/when you need to retire the server. Given the hellscape we live in I decided to forego doomscrolling for music and bought a record player in January after avoiding switching from cds for a long long time and have been loving rediscovering stuff and crate digging. Enough so I actually have a proper top 10 from last year. Still not making it to nearly as many live shows as I used to but such is life - seeing Marissa Nadler and Maria BC next week though Top 10 1. Milkweed - Remscela 2. Saya Gray - Saya 3. Leonie Pernet - Poemes Pulverises 4. Kathryn Joseph - We Were Made Prey 5. Felicity J Lord - FJL 6. Voice Actor and Squu - Lust 7. Feeo - Goodness 8. Bug Teeth - Micrographia 9. Yasmine Hamdan - I Remember I Forget 10.
