I got to work as a volunteer roadie/stage construction guy when Renaissance came to our gym (Albright College, in Reading, PA), mid-70's. Best moment; I was screwing in red and blue bulbs for the light show right as the front of the stage when I realized someone was standing >right next< to where I was kneeling. If I had turned or stood up suddenly, I would have knocked her over. It was Annie Haslam, on stage to see how things were progressing! I didn't say a thing, and I don't think she really noticed me. Take away for me; she's really short. Concert was fantastic. (This is back when even small colleges had big names come to play music; while I was there, we had Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Aerosmith, Mountain, Al Stewart, others I can't remember, and of course, Renaissance!) bob k. ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V16 #271 ***************************
