The interplay of the two voices really does it for me. I love it. That not-being-able-to-hear thing happened with Throwing Muses, too, and now Hunkpapa and The Real Ramona (granted, probably the least noisy of their albums) are among my favourite albums of all time and the rest of the albums came into focus. Sadly, with St Vincent I really liked her first album and the following ones irritated me until now I can't like the first one anymore. Argh. With Aldous Harding I liked about half of Party a LOT but the rest never grabbed me and I feel the same about the new one. Just not drawn in. - --Neile > On Jan 15, 2020, at 7:35 AM, Tim Jones-Yelvington wrote: > > If we're doing "what didn't work for me," I feel compelled to admit that my > biggest disappointment of the year was Designer by Aldous Harding.
