Then we got on one which took us half way until the pilot had to turn back because of high winds. So we are delighted to be here now. We had a brilliant time at the Outpost Performance Space here a year ago with Jason Sypher on the end of our tour for bSinging in the Darkb and we haven't performed together since so we're excited about tonight and playing some of the new songs from the forthcoming album I've been working on. Tentatively titled bBelongb, it consists of songs Ibve written over the past decade and is the kind of album that follows on from bProphecyb (2002) and bBonesb (1995), with some musical guests who previously appeared on either or both of those albums. **** Tomorrow itbs on to Flagstaff and on Sunday to Phoenix where webve never played before and webll be looking to have some warm musical experiences despite the snow and cold. **** Hope to see some of you along the way and we'd love it if you would pass the word on to any of your friends in those areas whom you think might enjoy our music. Thank you, Susan *www.susanmckeown.com * *www.facebook.com/susanmckeown* ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 2 Dec 2011 15:16:03 -0500 From: katherine Subject: a new track from The Natural History Museum, plus: taking noms for a female-fronted albums list OK, first things first, I've been ridiculously busy with writing and such and haven't sent anything out to the list in a year or so, but! Three things. - - *50 Words for Snow* is amazing. But you knew that. - - I know at least a few of you had asked about what the Natural History Museum's up to. They have a new track, and they're hoping to get their stuff out officially next year. Anyway. It's gorgeous and can be downloaded here: http://countersunk.org/releases.html - - A lot of folks I know are compiling a list of great female-fronted albums in 2011, maybe to be published somewhere and maybe not. It's got all the usual suspects on it (Kate, Tori, PJ, St. Vincent, EMA, Wild Flag, etc.), but I'm sure there are a ton of albums we've missed. So I guess this is a call to you all: anything great that's slipped under the radar this year? Thanks so much! - - Katherine ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V16 #263 ***************************
