Jim (spouse) has always liked her but I haven't until this one. Yes, that first track is gorgeous. I'm enjoying the second, too. I love the moodiness. Before she has felt more noisy goth and I couldn't connect with the sound. So I'll keep listening. - --Neile > On Sep 13, 2019, at 8:28 AM, Tim Jones-Yelvington wrote: > > definitely, Im loving it > > On Fri, Sep 13, 2019 at 10:01 AM Jon Wesley Huff > wrote: > >> Yeah, I wasn't so much into her past stuff. A great autumn record! ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 13 Sep 2019 10:20:08 -0500 From: Paul Jensen Subject: Madder Rose: "To Be Beautiful" 90's indie darlings Madder Rose have just released their first new album in 20 years called "To Be Beautiful". Whether or not you were familiar with their past work, this is an album worth hearing. It's exceptionally polished and mature. Lead singer Mary Lorson (who has released several excellent solo albums over the years) has such a clear and fragile voice. So emotive. Not many albums this year have stood out to me, but this one immediately swept me away. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wD5Yq08dhU ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 13 Sep 2019 09:34:01 -0500 From: Tim Jones-Yelvington Subject: Re: New release: Chelsea Wolfe - Birth of Violence Ive tried with her a few times because of how much I love Emma Ruth Rundle and them being labelmates, but her stuff has always had too much heavy rock noise for me to find an entry point. I'll try again with this one though. ~Tim On Thu, Sep 12, 2019 at 2:32 PM Jon Wesley Huff wrote: > I got the vinyl for this a day early. It's really fantastic. Dark and moody > and beautiful.
