Id like to draw your attention to the latest album by Austrian singer/songwriter Soap&Skin, From Gas to Solid / You are My Friend, particularly this track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=013lbJ-Iehg This album is among my absolute favorites of 2018. Im also very, very smitten by Team Dreams, a collaborative album that technically came out last year, by Sin Fang, Ssley and Vrvar Smarason, the new album by Marissa Nadler, For my Crimes, and the latest offering from Cat Power, Wanderer. I have not been this much into a Cat Power album since The Greatest. L'Amour en Solitaire by Juliette Armanet has been the biggest earworm for me this year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wlnRatglSo In the same vein: Check out the latest album by Canadian singer Cur de pirate, En cas de tempjte, ce jardin sera fermi. Lovely ecto-friendly stuff. The latest album by Charlotte Gainsbourg, Rest, is wonderful as well. Alison Sudol, formerly known as A Fine Frenzy, released an EP a month ago. So nice to have her back. This is my favorite track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZpJ3VXgfBU Finally, Ruby Rose Fox is amazing. She reminds me of Alison Moyet, Annie Lennox, and Camille OSullivan. This is my favorite track from her 2018 album, Salt: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIOZum1yHac Oh, and I'm trying to get into the new Julia Holter album, Aviary, but so far it's a struggle. I don't connect with this album at all and I find that weird since I'm a huge fan of Have You In My Wilderness, Loud City Song as well as her live album, In the Same Room. Any thoughts?
