In recent months I've seen both her Primal Heart album tour featuring full band and gadgetry, and now this last night; and while I thoroughly enjoyed them both (she's a really good performer in general), the new bare-bones show was unquestionably my favourite of the two, and an easy recommendation to anyone who enjoys her music. The set was about 70 minutes, so I would happily have had it last a bit longer; but I left very happy regardless. I'd just link to http://kimbramusic.com/ but her web site is a bit weird, so I'll include the following list if it helps anyone. (I don't know whether these are all for the same style of show, but I think it's a safe assumption that the remaining 2018 dates would be, at minimum.) 2018 Nov 17, Spark Arena, Auckland, New Zealand Nov 20, ICC Theatre, Sydney, Australia Nov 21, Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, Gold Coast, Australia Nov 22, The Gasometer, Melbourne, Australia Nov 24, Margaret Court Arena, Melbourne, Australia Nov 25, AEC Theatre, Adelaide, Australia Nov 30, Aratani Theatre, Los Angeles, CA Dec 02, The Chapel, San Francisco, CA Dec 03, The Chapel, San Francisco, CA Dec 05, Thalia Hall, Chicago, IL Dec 06, Sixth & I Historic Synagogue, Washington, DC Dec 08, Murmrr, Brooklyn, NY Dec 09, The Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, MA Dec 10, Murmrr, Brooklyn, NY 2019 Mar 08, Chango Live, Madrid, Spain Mar 09, Razzmatazz, Barcelona, Spain Mar 12, Santeria Social Club, Milano, Italy Mar 14, Lucerna Great Hall, Prague, Czech Republic Mar 15, Proxima, Warszawa, Poland Mar 16, Frannz-Club, Berlin, Germany Mar 18, Vega Small Hall, Copenhagen, Denmark Mar 20, LUXOR, Cologne, Germany Mar 21, Paradiso Noord, Amsterdam, Netherlands Mar 23, Cafe De La Danse, Paris, France Mar 25, Yes, Manchester, United Kingdom Mar 26, Heaven, London, United Kingdom ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 15 Nov 2018 10:00:46 -0600 From: Tim Jones-Yelvington Subject: Re: Myrkur's Juniper is pretty (and creepy) I loved the one or two more mellow/ non metal tracks on her 2017 album and thought they were very Ecto. Look forward to hearing this one. ~Tim On Wed, Nov 14, 2018 at 9:52 PM Karen Hester wrote: > No growling death metal vocals on this one, so quite listenable.
