Like March, May was full of riches, but I've been so busy with the final stages of planning for the summer program that I run, it's been hard to give them the attention they deserve. My favorite was Perfume Genius's No Shape, which finally matches Mike Hadreas's gift with the level of drama it calls for, and will almost assuredly be on my year-end list. Aldous Harding's is another very Ecto-friendly release, much more theatrical than I was expecting based upon her earlier album. Also highly recommend BAMBOO's to this group, and Juana Molina's, and Soley's. If you are spotify, you can listen to the playlist at: *https://open.spotify.com/user/timmyjy/playlist/2PH2QJMi2cEQYmTCzdNNeg * Here is a link to the youtube version, in which I had to replace my preferred track with the only one currently available on the platform (but the video is spectacular, so it's almost worth it): https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9PIbpFh4KXWuofghX-3YGnQyTu32uaLo TRACKS Up Against Me, LP Nobody, Niia Me Gusta Tu Manera, CafC) Tacvba Chantaje, Shakira (w/ Maluma) 2 Good 2 Be True, Nite Jewel The Architect, Jane Weaver Wreath, Perfume Genius Always Running, BAMBOO Sin dones, Juana Molina Ingrata - En Vivo, La Santa Cecilia (w/ Mon Laferte) Peligrosa, Lila Downs (w/ Mon Laferte) Horizon, Aldous Harding Traveler, Soley Angel, Sevdaliza ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V16 #2027 ****************************
